Bertie & James started their epic 3000 mile row across the Atlantic Ocean from La Gomera at 1200 UTC on Monday 5th December 2011.
These are two incredibly brave men who are regulary hitting speeds of up to 12 knots and experiencing waves as high as 20m whilst risking their safety so they can raise money for their chosen charity, Facing the World.
Bertie & James would like to thank you for your support and look forward to sharing their journey with you.
An unsupported and totally self sufficient race of 2,500 nautical miles departs from La Gomera in December. Entrants must deal not only with 50ft waves, oil tankers and sharks but tackle the very limits of their physical and mental fitness.
